Arrikitaun
About This Spot
Arrikitaun is the kind of intimate Andalusian bar where time seems to slow down just enough for you to savor the little joys of good company and genuine flavors. Nestled on a quiet street in Donostia, this spot offers a relaxed, welcoming rhythm that invites both locals and visitors to linger over a shared plate or an uplifting drink. Whether you find yourself early in the day or as evening stretches on, the atmosphere gently shifts—from a laid-back afternoon refuge to a lively, convivial gathering place by night.
Inside, the colorful, charming décor reflects a vibrant southern spirit without shouting for attention. The seats spill outdoors when the weather allows, making it perfect for people-watching or soaking in a mild Gipuzkoa breeze. You can feel a neighborhood warmth here: it’s casual yet attentive, with staff who seem to know when to engage and when to give you space.
Part of the magic of Arrikitaun is how the food and drink work together to evoke the textures and tastes of Andalusia. Count on dishes that surprise with their freshness and familiar comfort—a bowl of gazpacho refreshes, while bites like croquetas or patatas bravas carry a homey, authentic touch. The drinks menu complements this vibe with playful, spirited options, making it just as easy to settle in for an afternoon or to toast among friends as the sun dips below the horizon.
Visitors often find themselves returning, drawn not only by the quality of the flavors but by the ease and sincerity of the experience. It’s a place where you can drop in for a quick snack and a drink or stay awhile, sharing stories and laughter in a setting that feels quietly alive and undeniably human.

It was amazing to find an Andalucia bar in San Sebastián. They definitely were authentic in the food they offer including the breaded cold tomato soup Salmorejo. All the dishes we had were excellent. We were there on a Sunday evening and the place was extremely busy by 8pm. We came a like earlier and it was difficult to get a table. They have more outdoor seating than indoor. The service was efficient.

A lovely little spot. Very good quality for very little money, the gazpacho is the best I have ever eaten. Very friendly and nice staff and the interior is so lovely and colorful!

Tried many of their Raciones and they were all good! One of my favorites was their papas escozías. I came back to this place for this. I like the atmosphere, it's chill esp. in the afternoon.

Authentic, quaint, and very friendly atmosphere. A neighborhood bar where all feel welcome. Exceptional service at a great stop for a drink and some small plates.

Loved the venue and the food. The bar is located on a quiet street around Ibaeta and is very easy to get to if you are driving. We had the prawns, patatas bravas, txopitos and meat in xerry wine which was delicious. The atmosphere was really good but the service was slow.
